CAYA Sanctuary itself believes its sacramental use of Ayahuasca to be within the protection of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and sincerely believes that the consumption of Ayahuasca brings its members into profound connection with the divine and is a protected religious exercise. Ayahuasca, through a grave misunderstanding by our government, remains federally illegal and illegal under most state law.
The carriers of Ayahuasca who serve at CAYA Sanctuary are guided by the wisdom of the indigenous practices that honor and respect ancient traditions in which the sacrament originates. Additionally, we acknowledge the complex issues of modern life and attend to the unique spiritual needs of all people. Ayahuasca is a sacred sacrament that allows direct connection with the Divine energy of Love, this communion illuminates and heals the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of life. CAYA Sanctuary adheres to a rigorous set of ceremony guidelines to ensure the safety of all participants, including:
- Preparation in the weeks prior to ceremony.
- Screening members to ensure their safety.
- Consulting with a medical doctor for contraindications.
- Training staff, volunteers and facilitators on proper and safe conduct during ceremony.
- Pre and post ceremony support.

We are here to walk with you
Priming your system for deep healing and profound spiritual connection calls for commitment and dedication. It is imperative to understand that what we take into our systems, whether through food, medications and supplements or the media we consume has a large energetic impact. Cleaning our vessel allows for the clarity, lessons and knowledge from the Divine to come without distortion. The preparation process is also a way of honoring and showing reverence for the opportunity to commune with the sacrament.
Intentions are key to guiding the ceremony, it's like putting an address into your spiritual GPS.
Intention questions to consider:
- What do I want to release, be relieved of or let go of?
- What am I calling in, reclaiming, or wanting to embody?
You will be fully supported along the preparation path. We will provide supplemental materials that will give guidance, direction and suggestions.

Integration is a vital part of healing your mind and connecting with your spirit. Integration is the process of incorporating the lessons, teachings and wisdom learned into our lives. The goal is not perfection, in fact shortcomings are often the greatest teachers. The purpose is steadily increasing awareness of our thoughts, emotions, words and actions and exploring ways to change them and better ourselves. In order to claim all of the rewards of this work we must learn to be authentic, real and transparent with ourselves and others. The ability to share with an open heart and to be fully seen, in a safe and respectful way, is by far one of the most valuable offerings we can make to ourselves.
