Four weeks prior and post ceremony:
- Cease the use of any street drugs.
- Stop the use of cannabis for a minimum of 30 days to completely clear your system. It can inhibit visions and cause distortions in the energy. It can also darken the experience and can create blockages for the person along with others participating in the ceremony.
Two weeks prior and post ceremony:
- Be mindful of the media you ingest, including anything that is meant to induce strong emotions or portrayals of traumatic events (violence, stress, sadness, etc.). These energies can influence the ceremony experience.
- Alcohol
- Red or heavy meats (pork, beef, sheep, tuna, eel, etc.)
One week prior and post ceremony:
- Sexual activity or exchanges with others, including masturbation (this allows your energy to be strong, clear and purely yours).
- Dairy products
- Refined sugars
- Smoked products
- Junk food
- Citrus
- Salt intake (minimize)
- Oils (olive, avocado or coconut oil can be used sparingly)
- Animal fats
- Carbonation (soda, seltzers, energy drinks)
- Fermented food or drinks (Kombucha, non-alcoholic beer, kimchi, sauerkraut, kefir, pickles, yogurt)
- Aspartame
- Chocolate or peanuts in large amounts
- Dried or candied fruits in large amounts
- Dietary supplements and protein powder/bars
3 days prior and post ceremony:
- Eat light meals.
- Moderate consumption of salt, sugars and honey.
- No Caffeine and other stimulants
- No spicy foods, red peppers, etc.
- No Fried foods
Day of ceremony and day after:
- Please eat, fasting is not recommended. Eat clean, healthy foods to nourish you for the journey.
- Simple breakfast and lunch.
- No food after 1pm
- Drink only water, coconut water or plain non-caffinated herbal tea after lunch.
Post Ceremony:
Continuing to adhere to the diet in reverse will allow the medicine to continue working, healing and aligning your system to its fullest capacity.
