It is a powerful spiritual and healing agent. At Caya it is used as a sacred sacrament that connects those who consume it with the Divine Spirit within themselves as well as the Great Creator. It often offers teachings, lessons and wisdom that supports healing the body, mind, emotions and spirit. It has the ability to shine a loving light on our deepest fear, trauma and patterns that no longer serve us with the aim of creating awareness so that we may regain our sovereign energy and clarify the choices we make.
Ayahuasca is safe for people to consume after proper medical and mental health screening. The screening process is vital to avoid contraindications that could cause harm or even death, which include, but are not limited to, pharmaceuticals, heart conditions, diabetes, bipolar, schizophrenia and any history of psychosis.
Aside from medical, pharmaceutical or mental health contraindications there are important safety concerns pertaining to preparation, the container and integration. These considerations are attended to for each individual as part of the intake process and the training of facilitators and volunteers. Our church staff, medicine carriers, facilitators and volunteers are highly experienced with ceremonial use of ayahuasca and trained in supporting a safe ceremony.
Ceremony is held in the community house great room. We provide a mat, pillow, blanket, bucket, and paper towels. There are 4 bathrooms available near the ceremony space. Every member will have a shared room with comfortable bed to rest when not in ceremony.
CAYA Sanctuary hosts retreats on a 68-acre property in the forest of Washington state. Guests are treated to high end luxury glamping lodging (safari tents, geodesic dome, sleep in a greenhouse, a cob house (natural building with clay, straw and sand). Nourishing activities like wood fired hot tub, infrared sauna, river swims (aka cold plunge, depending on the season), hiking, hammocks, fire pits, meditation/yoga deck.
Here at CAYA we believe integration is a critical role in retaining, processing, and implementing your experience with the sacred medicine. We will work with you once we have received your intake forms and start to help you understand what intentions are and how you can align your intentions as clear as possible. We will have one-on-one calls prior to ceremony, multiple group integrations throughout the retreat, and we offer one-on-one calls post ceremony by appointment. We offer one group integration call the Thursday after ceremony specific to your group. All CAYA members will have access to the weekly integration calls.
There are many types of purging, it can take the form of, crying, sweating, shivering, yawning, vomit, peeing and pooping. It is a natural to be concerned about purging, however, people find it deeply cleansing and a purifying experience. So, yes, you will purge but it may come as tears of joy.
We serve a max of 15 members per weekend. We believe by limiting the amount of people to 15 per ceremony so that we can offer a holistic and complete experience where each person will feel heard and seen in their process. This also allows us to dive deep into the integration process and give everyone the time they deserve to share and get feedback.
We understand that cost can be prohibitive for some people, and we believe that the sacred healing experience should be accessible by everyone. We are open to discuss cost/payment on a case-by-case basis to work with each individual and their specific needs. Send an email to info@cayasanctuary.com and someone will get in contact with you.
